Featured Supernatural BeingsEdit

  • The episode was watched by 1.10 million viewers and got a 0.3 rating. This is the least watched episode of the season so far.
  • This is the sixth and final episode of the series to be directed by Jensen Ackles with Weekend at Bobby's, The Girl Next Door, Heartache, Soul Survivor and The Bad Seed being the first five.
  • Becky Rosen's notes about God's new manuscript can be seen as a meta commentary on the episode itself.
  • The date on the security camera footage of Tori's abduction is November 6, 2019, one day before the episode originally aired. This means that most of the episode occurred on the same day that it originally aired.
  • Ty Olsson briefly returns to the show to reprise a version of his character Benny Lafitte.
    • Ty Olsson's appearance as Benny at the start of the episode was not originally scripted, and was suggested at the behest of Jensen. Per Variety: In it, Ackles directed himself in hand-to-hand combat and stunts, as well as a couple of key emotional moments, including bringing back "a character who's one of my favorite characters of all time," Ackles says. "It wasn't even on the page. I said, 'Can we make this character this person?' And they were like, 'If you can get this person — I believe they're working right now.' I made the call. He was literally working one day, had the next day off, so he flew in, did one scene, flew out and was working on his other project the next day."
  • Emily Perkins returns to the show to reprise her role as Becky Rosen.
  • Becky Rosen is revealed to have settled down with a husband and two kids of her own, and run an unofficial Supernatural merchandise and she also regrets everything she's done to Sam Winchester and is revealed to have taken meds and seen a therapist, showing a massive growth since her last appearance in Season Seven, Time for a Wedding!.
    • She also thinks that God is still Chuck Shurley, who was a "prophet" until Chuck reveals his status as God later on.
  • God causes Becky Rosen and her family to disappear with a snap in this episode. This is a nod to the 2018 film Avengers: Infinity War wherein Thanos did the same thing to half of the universe. However, unlike Thanos, God didn't kill them, rather sent them to an unknown location.
  • Sam's nightmare appears to be a longer version of the vision Castiel had in Back and to the Future when he tried to heal Sam's wound from The Equalizer.
  • Becky's Sam and Dean dolls appear to be the same ones Crowley received for Christmas in Rowena's nightmare in The Devil in the Details.
  • Several guest actors in this episode previously played different roles in the show.
  • When approaching a suspected vampire, Sam arms himself with a syringe of dead man's blood, suggesting that Alternate Michael's death ended the enhancing effects he had on monsters as vampires were previously immune to dead man's blood thanks to alternate Michael. This was a suggested outcome of his death, but has never been confirmed.
