Although this article is based on canonical information, the actual name of this subject is conjectural.

Similar to her blade, they were capable of killing Immortal beings such as Deities. Though her intention was kill her father Zeus, she ended up killing both Zeus as well as Prometheus with them.


In Remember the Titans, Zeus was summoned by the brothers to lift the curse off Oliver who was Prometheus' son. But Zeus turned the tables and tortured Prometheus and was about to do the same to Oliver. Artemis refused to be a part of such barbaric act and resolved to kill her father. As soon as she let an arrow fly, Zeus pulled Prometheus into its path. It struck Prometheus.

Wanting to end his son's suffering once and for all, Prometheus sacrificed himself by pushing the arrow deeper within himself, thereby even impaling Zeus who was standing behind him. With Zeus' death, the curse was lifted off the boy.

Trivia Edit

According to the Homeric Hymn to Artemis. Artemis' golden bow and arrows, are named Khryselakatos, "of the Golden Shaft", and Iokheira "Showered by Arrows". The arrows of Artemis could also bring sudden death and disease to girls and women, but later know to effect any human or lesser deity. Artemis got her bow and arrow for the first time from The Kyklopes. The bow of Artemis also became the witness of Callisto's oath of her virginity.
