Anthony is a demon who possessed a teenaged girl in 2018.
History[]
Anthony was a demon known to Lucifer though the latter saw him as non-important figure. In 2018, Anthony possessed a teenager whose possession became cause for alarm which warranted an exorcism. While in the girl's body, Anthony was then tied to the bed by rope and visited by Father Davis and his associate who attempted to save the girl.
On the same day, Lucifer, who at the time had briefly taken over Heaven and was listening in on prayers in God's absence, heard the exorcism and returned to Earth. Prior to Lucifer's arrival, Anthony taunted Father Davis for his cam girl addiction which caused the two priests to throw holy water at him. When Lucifer arrived, Anthony recognised his boss and listened as Lucifer stated that the being inside of the girl was not Satan but was just a small demon and annoyed by the antics, Lucifer exorcised Anthony from his vessel who died of her injuries.
Powers and Abilities[]
Much like smaller demons, Anthony had the following:
- Demonic Possession - To walk the Earth, Anthony required a vessel.
- Immortality - As a demon, he would never age or die unless killed.
- Invulnerability - As a demon, he was invulnerable to normal methods of harm.
- Telepathy - He could search into Father Davis mind and find out his secret sexual addictions.
Weaknesses[]
Much like other demons, Anthony was weak against the following.
- Holy water - When hit with the holy water, Anthony was visibly in pain.
- Archangels - Lucifer exorcised the demon by snapping his fingers.
Appearances[]
Trivia[]
- Despite taking a female vessel, Anthony is actually male.
- Anthony is the first demon shown to be exorcised by a use of power since Abaddon exorcised Grandma the Crossroad Demon in Season 9's Devil May Care. He is also the only demon to have been exorcised by an angel in this way.
- During the exorcism, Anthony is clearly tied to the bed with only rope. He is either not strong enough to break free of rope on his own, or he wasn't on purpose as part of the "fun" he was having.
- Anthony's vessel being clad in a green dress with a substance on it, tied to the bed by room is a reference to the 1973 movie The Exorcist in which the protagonist, Regan MacNeil, is portrayed in the same manner when being exorcised.
