Amara Schneider is the young human girl who had been possessed by the Darkness. She is the daughter of Mike Schneider and Janie Schneider. Upon being given birth by her human mother, Amara had been possessed by the Darkness who would take her birth name for herself and be used as a vessel.

History[]

Amara Schneider was the daughter of Mike Schneider and Janie Schneider at the Nuckolls County Medical Center in Superior, Nebraska where Janie went into labor and gave birth to Amara, however Janie died due of hemorrhaging and passed out. Mike had gone out to collect himself when he encountered the Rabid and became infected. He manages to get back inside the hospital and seek refuge with his daughter in a supply closet.

Mike's only mindset was to save the newborn child, and he handed her over to the custody of the Winchesters and Jenna and leaves to die out from the Rabid infection. He was eventually found by Dean and Jenna and using every last ounce of strength he had before succumbing to the infection by the Darkness, he named his newborn daughter Amara and dies. Unbeknownst to everyone, Amara had been chosen by the Darkness to act as her vessel and her conscious would lay dormant for pretty much the entire time and have her body rapidly age to meet the Darkness's needs of fulfilling her goal in killing God and Creation, along with sporting the Mark of Cain.

Having been found by the King of Hell Crowley and taken under his care of planning to use the Darkness against all foes. The first time Amara Schneider acted as her own being was when she conversed with the Darkness via mirror reflection where the Darkness takes the form of what Amara would one day look like as an adult while she was still in the form of a child. During this time under Crowley's care and conversing with the Darkness about going against God and his Creation, Amara is shown to be taught to stay focus on the Darkness' purpose and Creation was to serve God's ego, despite being troubled and confused on the way all of Creation is working. Eventually Amara went back of being dormant and the Darkness became the dominant persona of her body.

The details of what occurred to Amara after the Darkness merged with God remain unclear. Nonetheless, following Jack's acquisition of God's abilities, he indicated that he and the Darkness were existing in harmony.
