An unnamed being is the leader of the Akrida, a species of "monster" not of this world who pose a threat to all of existence. For a time, it used Rockin' Roxy as its human host. Although it holds control over some Akrida, this leader was still subservient to the Akrida Queen.
History[]
Early History[]
For centuries, the Akrida try to invade the Earth and destroy everything on it in order to take it over for themselves. However, each time, the Men of letters manage to stop their invasion.
In 1957, however, the Men of Letters are massacred by the Akrida Queen, leaving Earth vulnerable to the Akrida once again. By 1972, the Akrida, no longer held back by the Men of Letters, have managed to make it to Earth with their leader taking Rockin' Roxy as her vessel. Aware of the invasion, Samuel Campbell, learning of the threat that they pose, searches for the only thing that can kill them.
The Winchesters[]
In Teach Your Children Well, the Akrida leader, cloaked, enters La Tunda's lair and absorbs a piece of her essence into a vial before leaving, followed by several Akrida.
In You're Lost Little Girl, the Akrida leader is heard over the radio several times, posing as her vessel, DJ Rockin' Roxy.
After being captured by Ada Monroe and Carlos Cervantez, Slick reveals that he and his partner had made a deal with the Akrida leader to bring her the Ostium in exchange for their lives being spared when the Akrida wipes out all of existence. However, all that the demon is able to tell the two about the Akrida leader is that she is possessing some woman.
Later, an Akrida retrieves Bori Baba's bag for its leader and brings it to her. Much like she did with La Tunda, the Akrida leader is able to extract a piece of the monster's life force out of his bag into a vial.
In Legend of a Mind, the Monster Club learns of the Akrida collecting the essence of rare monsters from Tony Monroe and deduce that the Akrida have recently been mind controlling people connected to a radio tower project in order to use it to spread their signal to bring rare monsters to the area. Noticing the connection between the project and Rockin' Roxy, whose real name is revealed to be Roxanne Gilbert, the Monster Club realizes that she is being possessed by the Akrida Leader.
As the hunters listen to her broadcast, another Akrida in a human vessel approaches the Akrida leader and reveals that Mary Campbell didn't succumb to their control. The other Akrida worries that the hunters will be a problem, but the leader reassures him that they'll get the hunters the way they want eventually.
In Reflections, the Akrida Leader pulls over Mary with the help of a mind-controlled cop and demands that the Ostium be traded for a captured Samuel while pressing a possessed doctor to work faster on the Akrida's plans for the monster essence. After learning that the Akrida are connected to their queen and will die if the connection is severed, the Monster Club plans to use the Ostium on her and manage to recharge it with the help of Henry Winchester's ghost.
During a fight with the Akrida Leader, Mary uses the Ostium on her sucking her back into her own universe and leaving behind Roxy's body. However, the other Akrida don't die with her, revealing that she is not actually the Akrida Queen. Using the Ostium, Samuel manages to send the other attacking Akrida back to their universe while the Akrida's slaves dig up the actual queen and present her with the monster essence that had been collected in order to make the queen stronger.
In Suspicious Minds, it's revealed that Roxy survived her possession by the Akrida Leader, although she believes that her experiences under possession were simply a nightmare. Roxy reveals to Carlos and Lata that her time under possession cost her everything, including her girlfriend, her job and her home. Using a form of magical hypnosis taught to her by Tony Monroe, Lata helps Roxy remember her possession by the Akrida Leader. Roxy is able to give them a description of an underground place where the Akrida Queen is which Carlos is able to identify as a location in Kansas a couple of hours away from Lawrence. Although Lata plans to erase the memories from Roxy's mind, Roxy chooses to remember everything so that she can know that what she went through helped to stop the Akrida.
In You've Got a Friend, while being interrogated by an Akrida, John recalls that the Akrida Leader had said that nothing of this Earth can harm the Akrida. As a result, having deduced that Dean Winchester is a threat to the Akrida, John concludes that Dean must not be of this Earth.
In Hey, That's No Way To Say Goodbye, the Akrida Leader and all the rest of the species are killed by Mary when she kills Joan Hopkins, their queen, with the Impala.
