Adolf Hitler was the dictator of Nazi Germany.

History[]

Background[]

In 1943, when Gumprecht obtained a fragment of the Ark of the Covenant, Hitler ordered him to send it to Germany. However, the plan was foiled by Woman of Letters Delphine Seydoux, who took the fragment and used its power to kill Gumprecht.

In 1945, as the Soviets were closing in on his location, Hitler decided to commit suicide to avoid capture. His wife Eva Braun had already bitten into a cyanide capsule and killed herself. However, as he was about to pull the trigger, Commandant Nauhaus suggested there was another way. Using knowledge gained from the Thule Society, Nauhaus was able to save Hitler's soul by placing it in a pocket watch.

However, the watch went missing after the Thule agents transferring the watch were killed by Soviets.

The watch would end up with a Russian family, before moving to China and Peru, before eventually arriving in Columbus, Ohio in 2016.

Season 12[]

In The One You've Been Waiting For, the Thules track the pocket watch containing Hitler's soul to Columbus, Ohio and retrieve it. In order to resurrect Hitler using a spell, the Thules kidnap his descendant Ellie Grant despite interference from the Winchesters and, using a transfusion of Ellie's blood, resurrect Hitler in the body of the Thule leader.

Upon resurrection, Hitler acts highly erratic before ordering Ellie's blood drained and her fed to dogs. The Thule capture the Winchesters, and Hitler meets with them. Meanwhile, Ellie breaks free of her restraints and kills Hans with Sam's gun. Dean then grabs a gun and kills the other two Thule before turning the gun on Hitler, leaving him begging for mercy.

A completely dead Adolf Hitler

Dean knocks Hitler out, tells him "heil this" and shoots Hitler in the head, killing him once more. Afterwards, the Winchesters and Ellie burn the bodies of Hitler and the Thule, preventing them from being resurrected again. Dean is left highly amused by the fact that he killed Hitler, a fact which no one will ever believe him about if he tells them.

In Celebrating The Life Of Asa Fox Dean excitedly tells Jody Mills that he killed Hitler. Jody later states that on the drive to Canada, Dean described killing Hitler to her in "extreme, excruciating detail."

Season 15[]

In Last Holiday, when the bunker experiences problems, Dean states that they've fought the Devil and he's killed Hitler so they should be able to deal with some old pipes.

Powers and Abilities[]

Weaknesses[]

  • Mortality - As a human, he is affected by mortality. Specifically, as both human and Thule, he can be killed by a gunshot.
  • Nazi Pocket Watch - It could trap Hitler's soul for decades.
  • Massive Brain Damage - As a Thule, he could only be killed by being shot in the head.
  • Fire - As a Thule, he could only be permanently dispatched by torching his body soon after being killed to prevent resurrection.

Appearances[]

Trivia[]

  • Hitler's Nürnberg speeches were part of Amara's "education" when her vessel was a child.
  • Hitler is shown to have a passion for dogs. This is consistent with the real-life Hitler, who owned a dog named Blondi and was said to be very fond of her.
  • After his resurrection Hitler appears to be completely insane. The Thules seem surprised by his crazy behavior though. This is possibly because of the many decades of being trapped in a pocket watch.
  • In reality, Hitler shot himself. His body, along with his wife, Eva Braun's body, were carried outside to the bombed-out garden behind the Reich Chancellery by Soviet Red Army, where their corpses were placed in a bomb crater, doused with petrol and burned.
    • Ironically, in this episode, he died of a gunshot wound to the head and was also burned.
