I mean who believe in God and the Bible
I totally agree with you! Death is a well designed character. he has personality which is cute, he respects the rules and he is calm, he doesn't play the game but he helps in his way. only he looks to much like Death or he will be great God.
I think it's because they want us to see a God different from what we think or believe. maybe it can make the story more interesting? at least it surprised me when i first knew chuck is God and he was an ok character before he turned evil.
I guess I see them doing that but I still think it was terrible…I you are going to put God on a show…THE GOD then it should be an amazing character…even if they make him out to be bad or not all benevolent i still think Chuck was not the way to go…I for one was terribly disappointed though I will say the same for most of the last 10 seasons
I personally would have liked it better if instead of God Chuck’s writing would be more voodoo. I would explain how it could work but that would take forever
I was raised Roman Catholic and am now an agnostic. Still believe in God/Goddess and see the Bible as primarily stories and theories about God by the people who wrote them. It's their experiences of the divine that the Bible tells and some of them are familiar with us today, like the hunger for social justice against the wealthy and the powerful, who abuse the poor and powerless along with degrading our environment and planet.
Prophets like Isaiah spoke powerful words about social justice that still inspire us to this day. That's why I didn't like the Ayn Randian atheistic lines that the SPN writers gave Michael in S15ep19. They insinuated that Michael, an angel and creation of God, brainwashed humanity in seeing God as loving when in SPN world he wasn't. Those were the worse written lines in the whole series. The writers insulted people like the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr, Pope John XXIII, who rescued around 500K Jews from Nazi death camps, and the Quakers, who helped lead the cause to abolish slavery.
I really liked Chuck as the God character in SPN. I saw Chuck as a parent who is also an addict. He's addicted to creating things, whether they be living creatures, inanimate objects, or stories. Like all addicts, he abused his children via neglect, manipulation and finally anger. I would have preferred the ending of the series to be closer to S11 ending. In S11 Chuck reconciled with Amara. S15 should have ended with the Winchesters, Jack, Michael and Lucifer challenging Chuck about his addiction problem and abusive behavior, like children of parents who are addicts can do. They should have had a Truth and Reconciliation confrontation with their Father.
I hate Jack as the new God. He's a murderer who got away with murder and cosmically, he's a three-year old child. Jack's story was SPN's version of "Three Men and a Baby" movie. I hated that movie. Jack's boring personality didn't endear him to me either. Also, I don't think the Winchesters nor Castiel did a good job raising him. Jack would end up making the same immature mistakes that Chuck did.
I’m atheist but still love the show, probably really accurate if all that stuff did exist
I am Supernaturalist. Supernatural is my religion. I was a Christian turned Atheist beforehand.
Yeah, I'm Christian.
I do indeed and I’m a Christian :) I don’t agree with all of the story line concerning Chuck and the Angels and demons due to my beliefs, but the show is an interesting, exciting, and well written idea. :)
@Asgardsgem same here.
What do you think?
